Katherine Brizzolara
Graduate Student
Katherine Brizzolara is a first year PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering.
An alumnus of UMD’s Physics department, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Physics from UMD in 2019. She participated in research at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) on Ultra-High Temperature Ceramics through their NREIP program. She was awarded a Ross Fellowship from the Johns Hopkins University where she is beginning her research on Thermal Barrier Coatings. She continues to work jointly with NSWCCD.
