Volcanologist at USRA/NASA GSFC

Verity Flower has been a scientific researcher, based at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, since 2016. Recent research projects include ‘Exploiting MISR data to compare ash particle characteristics in volcanic plumes generated by multiple volcanoes on the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia’ and ‘Volcanology from Space: Exploiting NASA’s Earth Observing System (EOS) longevity and unique measurement capabilities to investigate active volcanism’. Dr Flower uses geological and atmospheric understanding to facilitate the holistic investigation of volcanic eruptions, and their associated geology, using multiple satellite sensors.
